EASTER DIY FOR YOUR LITTLE BUNNIES

Got little ones jumping for joy waiting for the Easter bunny to show up? And are ready to be running around the backyard looking for the little foiled ovals of heaven? Wanting a way to keep your little bunnies and chicks busy until the bunny himself arrives?

Here are some fun creations to make with your little ones over the long weekend, in preparation for the Easter Bunny's arrival.

Pin the tail on the bunny;

This one is easy. All you need is a printer, scissors, something to use as a blindfold and a tail to stick on the bunny.

Choose your favourite looking bunny. Print and cut it out. Stick it to your wall and play away!

Make your own bunny ears;

All you need is a headband, thin wire and string. To make them more unique, add flowers around the band or hand drawn patterns behind the ears.

Cut 2 pieces of wire to your desired length. Then simply bend and shape into bunny ears.

Twist the end of the wire and make sure you are left with excess to wrap around the band to secure in place later.

Wrap coloured wool or a roll of cotton around the wire until all wire is covered. Once each ear is done, attach the ears to the headband by wrapping the excess wire around the headband.

Adding flowers: Buy a floral headband or some fake flowers and cut any stems off. Either super glue or hot glue the flowers onto the string covered area of the headband.

Adding hand drawn patterns: Get your little one to draw patterns with ink, texta or paint. Cut to shape, add superglue to wire and stick onto the paper, so the pattern is behind the wire.

Easter egg artworks;

Find some coloured scrap paper, and some plain white paper. Cut an egg shape in one piece of white paper. Using the other piece of white paper, cut different coloured strips of paper to cover it. Using a glue stick, stick the white paper with the egg shape cut out over the top of the coloured paper. Then you have your very own artwork of a beautiful easter egg. This one is good for the younger ones.

Setting your kiddie easter table;

Once all your creations are made its time to decorate the table. Bring out your favourite bunny friends and fill the table with irresistible chocolate. Put your bunny ears on and place your artworks throughout the table. The table should be filled with colour and excitement. All ready for the Easter Bunny.
