Easter for the staff here at HQ is just about spending time with friends and family. Plus having a decent excuse to indulge on some chocolate and gifts.
And who can complain that you get 4 days off work! Below we have let you know what we're all up to over the long weekend, enjoy!
Terry and Rebecca
We are spending the whole week down in Tasmania. Curled up with a hot chocolate and a blanket in front of our house's fireplace. Taking our boys on outings to the mountains and tasting the delicious seafood at the local restaurants and markets.
We have hired a car and are doing a bit of a drive around Tassie.
Spending time in Wineglass Bay, Freycinet and Hobart. We love it in Tasmania, amazing food and relaxing vibes. Perfect place to take time away from work and home life.
We will be back home in time for Easter Sunday, for the Easter egg hunt with our family and all the little kids. Our boys will get a bit carried away, and eat their weight in chocolate (slight exaggeration but it feels that way). At least they will be running around doing activities all day long, meaning they will crash early and sleep until the late hours of Monday.
It is all in good fun, and will be back to work Tuesday, bellies full and relaxed.
Easter weekend for me is a pretty relaxing and casual time. With a couple of days off work it’s a good time to catch up with friends and get some sunshine (fingers crossed this warm weather hangs around).
On Friday I am volunteering my morning to collect money for the Good Friday Appeal. Our Football / Netball Club do this every year. It’s one of my favourite causes so I really enjoy giving my time to do this.
Living in a coastal town, we have a lot of people come down for the Easter Long Weekend so we play netball and football on Saturday. It’s usually a big day for our club, with the out-of-towners coming down to watch for the day. Saturday night we have a trivia night at the clubrooms, where we encourage people to stick around for a good night and a couple of drinks!
Easter Sunday will be pretty cruisy for me. Just with my friends and celebrating one of their birthdays.
My Easter Monday will be super relaxing. I’m hoping this beautiful weather sticks around so I can lay outside and get some sunshine before the cooler months hit!
We generally have a low key Easter, and this year will be no different.
I will be going home to spend the weekend with my family.
I am giving my dad a lending hand at work on Friday. Maybe knocking off early and ordering fish and chips and sit with the family down at the lake.
Saturday will be spent enjoying the time off from work and study. Hanging around the family home, taking the dogs for a walk and catching up with my sister. Saturday night I will head into the local pub with old friends for dinner and a few drinks.
Easter Sunday I will be celebrating with my family, chocolates for breakfast and a delicious home cooked roast for lunch. I will head back home in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day playing a bit of soccer with mates and just hanging around.
Monday I will have a few friends over to watch Geelong and Hawthorn play, hoping that the Cats will beat the Hawks.
Easter for me will be indulging on some chocolate and doing absolutely nothing. Just what a long weekend is for.
On Friday I will be with family, eating and relaxing together. Hoping that the weather stays sunny, maybe going for a dip in the pool. Or later in the day hop in the spa and toast to the 4 day weekend.
Saturday will be most likely be spent outdoors. Going for a hike to burn that chocolate off. Or going for an afternoon bike ride along the rail trail. Just soaking up the sun.
Saturday afternoon we will head for a drive to Bright, Beechworth and Mount Buffalo. Spend the rest of the weekend camping, eating at the bakery, going on bike rides and visiting the lolly shop. Who can resist, it is Easter.
